i love these girls.
they made me a delicous cake.

i miss them.

for nicole, paul and matthew.

this week there has been the fringe festival. they've shut down st.laurent for a sidewalk sale all week and tonight there was a show in the rachel/st.laurent park around the corner. islands played and it was really nice. inbetween sets we went to another park and drank beer out of paper bags. it was bright and sunny and the bands played on a platform with a beautiful stone archway behind them. after the show we drank beer in the mount royal park while we played croquet. i'm still drunk. i think. yea.

bye!

home sweet home.

being home was so nice. i miss it already. it was fun seeing everyone. sar and kris, thanks for being so great. you are good friends, and i miss you. the trip was too short and i wish i had more time to hang out.

coming home to montreal was hard. it's lonely right now. mike has gone home to caledon to be with his mom and he doesn't think he will be living in montreal at all this summer. he is going through such a hard time right now and i don't know how to help him.

these are the only photos that i took. most of them are of mike. he is wearing my black jeans from high school when i had short hair and wanted to be a riot girl. i wish i took more pictures, especially of krista. cause she is pretty.

Dartmouthians and Haligonians!

(Courtesy of Mr. A. Sowerby, again. Thanks Andrew. I really love your photos.)

Booked by plane ticket from Halifax to Montreal this morning! Wooooot! Made me so excited. Talking to Krista and Sarah made me so excited too! Sarah and Ted are coming next week. I can't wait to meet this fellow.

Man. So muthafuckin excited. Thinking about it put me in such in a good mood. Even though if I go outside I will be melt. I'm wearing my summer uniform, a sundress that I bought at H&M. Me and Graeme blended creamy iced coffee drinks to cool ourselves down. And it's GRAEME'S B-DAY TODAY! Me and Mike are going to make a birthday carrot cake for him tonight. And we're going to buy him a croquet set that he has been eyeing lately. yea! then we can play it in the park.

And maybe I'll get to see Darcy on the way down toooooooooooo?

So are you ready to party? See you in a couple of weeks!

i'll make peeing your pants worth your while.

the country is where it's at!

(this is a picture taken near my cottage a long time ago.)

i went to caledon again this weekend. i did my drawing homework on the deck and got a tan. we picked wild flowers for mike's mom because she wasn't feeling well. his brother phil (who is awesome) came home and we went swimming in a creek. me and mike also went to the caves, the lookout, and the swimming holes. and had bonfires! it was great. it really felt like summer. now i can't wait to go to my cottage, now that it's so much closer.

me, mike, kate and susan also got to see chris in toronto! there was over a 1000 people there singing along to songs about nova scotia. people were going crazy for it. i couldn't believe it. i wish i didn't forget my camera at home - i wish i could have gotten a picture of chris playing a tamborine in front of all those people. it was so nice to see chris so happy.

after asking so many people where i could find chris (and all of them thinking i was just a groupie - only the nice drummer was kind enough to go find him for me) we got to hang out with him and all his coooool friends upstairs. after that we went to a park near kate's house and hung out until late. i was happy kate and mike finally got to see what chris is really like. loud and HILAROUS. he tried to convince kate to pee her pants for the money that was in his pocket.

what a good weekend.

tonight we're going to go drink in the park, partly because mike is kinda sad about his mom being so sick. i just want to distract him and help him not think about it.

i'm so excited to come home, let me tell YOU. so excited. my dad is too. he told me on the phone today.

i got an avlav song stuck in my head today. i kept telling mike over and over that he was a skater boy and that i was going to tell him see you later boy.

aiight. enough rambling. time to head to the park. fun times. summer in the city.

"climb behind vagina, then i hymen-grind her"

Pietari Posti

Notings new.

I'm finding it hard getting used to having summer while not being in Halifax. So much to do but not the motivation to do it... I started drawing class. It's pretty good, although I don't have the motivation to do my homework. It's been raining for almost a week now. I blame it on that.

Next weekend I'm going to Toronto again with Mike. Mike's brother Phil is coming to visit for a day so we'll get a drive back with him - all the stories of Phil kind of remind me of Alex, which seems comforting. Apparently he has a really big beard and has been living in his car the last two weeks while he driving across Canada.

We're going to see Chris play on the big stage in Toronto which will be really great. It will be nice to see Chris as a mothafuckin rock star.

Oh, I'm probably coming home for my bday, June 10th! Anyone going to be around? Wanna hang out?

Mikey Deaner is going to be coming with me and there are a lot of people I want him to meet. You know who you are.

Bye.

Caledon meets Elora

Hey hey. Seeing Adriann was great. Elora is a pretty town. Makes me think I would really like living in the country. Caledon does too. Me and Mike explored abandoned houses and washed our feet in the creek.

Kate and Kate come tomorrow! I saw Kate R last weekend but didn't get to see Kate M.

Wanna see something kinda cool? Go to
Papierdoll and scroll down and you'll see my body. Click on it. You will see more pictures of me.

diamonds blind her

Summertime! Not much going on, except...

Going to Toronto to see Kate M and Kate R tomorrow. Gonna see Adriann in Elora, and Mike's parents in Caledon too.

Start my drawing course the day after I get back. I'm kinda scared.

Partied all weekend for Mike's bday. So tired. Made such a good cake. His presents having arrived from the internet yet.

Missed Mark's show and his visit to Montreal.

Been watching a lot of Habs games. It was actually really exciting.

Going to The Books show tonight, which will be fantastic. I like their tour poster.

Bye!

sappy sap.

I found out last night, while I was really drunk and excited, that a website that Jilliam posted awhile ago was part of an artistic project that Miranda July worked on, who made the movie Me and You and Everyone We Know. Although the movie sucks, I really like her website. It's heartwarming. If you're feeling down, go look at it. You can see people's submissions for things like "take a picture of your parent's kissing" and shit like that. Although my parents aren't kissing in this picture I'm sure they did right after. It's nice to see a picture of my parents at a party...

CONGRATULATIONS!

CONGRATS on being done school Krista! And everyone else that finished. Sarah, Nicole...and anyone else I can't think of. YEA!

And aren't you beautiful Krista. You're hair looks so nice. I wish I could have been there to celebrate.

Being out of school is great. During the beginning of the week, when it rained for three days, me, mike and graeme just hung out in out pjs and fat girl pants while watching movies and eating pizza.

When it got sunny, me and Mike have started to move his stuff over to my house for the summer. Besides that, the last couple of days has consisted of getting drunk at 4 in the afternoon while sitting out on the porch, although it's kinda cold. This week is only going to get better. Mike's birthday is on Monday so we are having a party at his old empty apartment on Saturday. Woooweeee.

I'm trying to convince Graeme and Mike to go with me to the Biodome and the Botanical Gardens to see butterflies in the greenhouse. Maybe maybe. Time to go to a church bazzzzarrrrr to get some good stuff.

BYE!

"we're on like totally separate pages. while your on some nancy drew book, i'm on some raymond chandler novel."

yeaaaaaaaa. i'm done!

but other than that nothing much is going on. bought some clothes yesterday. going to a parta tonight. waiting for the dye in my hair to be ready. went to see final fantasy last week with my new friend. got to see kira last weekend... nothing too eventful. but the summer will be fun.

oh, went to see the chair of the art history department. she is a really nice lady who told me that no one ever really gets jobs after doing their masters in art therapy, at least not anymore. i guess i kinda guessed it already but was just hopeful. so it's either a masters degree in art history at concordia or a school psychology/counselling psychology masters at McGill...or whereever. we'll see.

expect a call soon, now that i have loads of time.

alright. and now for some cute pictures, again. i really love her. she makes me happy.

and yes, i know, she looks like a little hussy in that princess full piece jogging suit. but she's a baby!

i think she looks funny in that swing. like a little sack of potatoes. i like how one of her favorite toys is a friggin wooden spoon.

AAARRR

by Christopher Silas Neal.

About half an hour ago I was so stressed. I got up at 6 this morning to register for classes and it took of ever to get into the site to register (almost 3 hours...) because so many people were registering. The thought of having all my studio classes set back another year was too much for me to handle...

The more I plan for the classes that I need to take the more I wonder what the hell I'm doing...

Anyway, I got into all the classes I wanted, well most of them, and it proved to me once again that I get so unnecessarily anxious sometimes - I am a wiener!

WIENERS!

(By the way, puptastic has some funny pictures of dogs, if you scroll down a bit. Like puppies dressed up as brides.)

I have a 12 page paper to write today (why else would I be posting something if it wasn't just to distract myself...) but it isn't that bad because I got to choose what I wanted to write about, and decided to write on craft, Helene Cixous, and Julia Kristeva, which are all things that I wanted to learn more about... I've found feminist criticism really interesting lately.

Like this (NERD!) from Helene Cixous...

Writing is the passageway, the entrance, the exit, the dwelling place of the other in me - the other that I am and am not, that I don't know how to be, but that I feel passing, that makes me live - that tears me apart, distrubs me, changes me, who? - a feminine one, a masculine one, some? - several, some unknown, which is indeed what gives me the desire to know and from which all life soars.

I know it's kinda cheesy, but I like it. All of her writing is fragmented and nice to read. It's a nice change from the boring academic readings that I've been doing lately.

I've drank so much coffee I'm going to pee my pants. BYEBYEBYEBEYBY!
